The Power of Deep Cleaned Carpets at Your Fingertips
If your household is anything like mine, you’ll know what hard work it is to keep your floors clean. Kids are constantly running in and out of the house. Cats and dogs (of which I have one of each) are either messing up the floor with their latest “catch of the day” or chasing the kids with muddy paws – you get the idea.
Now if you have taken the time to at least read my homepage, you will know that I’m in the cleaning business and have been for a long time so I know more than most about ground in dirt. However, the tools I use for my trade are built for commercial jobs and are not really practical around the home.
Vacuuming is a great way of getting rid of everyday grime, dust and dirt that collects on or near the surface of your carpets, but quite honestly, every now and then you do need to make sure you wash them.
So, I’m going to give you some information on the Hoover SteamVac Carpet Cleaner with Clean Surge (model number: F5914-900 for the more technically minded people out there). This happens to be an appliance I tried in my own home and I can’t say enough good things about it from my own personal experience.
However, I’m not here to tell you what you should and shouldn’t use when cleaning your carpets, which is why you’re about to read a somewhat subjective review on what benefits you get with this carpet cleaner.
No More Spreading the Dirt Around
A lot of carpet cleaners on the market don’t actually remove the grime you get out of your carpets. Well, they remove it from the carpet but not from the machine you’re using. The SteamVac is different in that it has easy to remove brushes that can be rinsed clean under the tap.
Plus, you have two tanks to deal with the water. One will collect the dirty water, and believe me on first use the color will surprise you! The second tank is where the solution is held.
One point I will make here is that the water you mix with the solution should be hot, not cold.
I’m just going to turn a bit technical on you for a moment (some of you might be interested): This carpet cleaner uses SpinScrub technology so the brushes rotate at all angles, which means a far deeper clean.
Drying Time? No Problem
Drying time is one of the biggest problems I come across with a lot of carpet cleaners but again, this one is different. Unlike many other models it uses a forced heat technology so it sends heat to your carpet as you clean (and I can tell you it works). No more shouting at the kids and pets to stay off the carpet for hours after you’ve finished cleaning it.
Other Features
Obviously you don’t want to give your carpets a deep clean all the time (I know I don’t). So, this unit comes with a power surge control for those annoying stains that seem to come from nowhere.
You also get various extension tools so you can give your upholstery a good clean as well. Plus, with the useful SpinScrub hand tool the carpet on your stairs or other hard to reach places can receive the same treatment.
In Conclusion
I know I come across a little biased with this cleaner and I apologize for that. However, you don’t have to take my word for it. Amazon is aiming for 10,000 reviews on this product and 60% of customers give it a 5 star rating. They just can’t all be wrong.
