No More Renting Expensive Carpet Cleaners!
Cleaning carpets is one of the most popular requests I get from my customers. This is probably because most of the work I do is in commercial properties, and cleaning the carpet rather than just having it vacuumed regularly isn’t exactly high on the list of priorities when the cleaning is done in-house.
In fact, when I’m in discussions with a new client I always bring up how cleaning a carpet is really important. In the office, you have a lot of traffic across this type of surface, and not only does this add to the overall wear and tear the dirt that’s transferred from shoes to the carpet doesn’t bear thinking about.
It’s no different in the home. Although you won’t get as much traffic as a busy office, the average household carpet is open to many different types of abuse. Kids spill stuff (not to mention the odd adult here and there). And if you have pets they can spread loose hair around, and bring all manner of things in from outside that eventually disappear deep into the fibers of your carpet.
Cleaning a carpet is something that many people shy away from simply because it can be expensive to hire a cleaner, not to mention the time it takes out of your day to collect and return the unit. So, for this review I’m going to tell you all about the Hoover MaxExtract Dual V which I happen to think is one of the best carpet cleaners on the market, and will eliminate the need for you to hire something like this ever again.
SpinScrub Technology
The MaxExtract uses SpinScrub technology unique to Hoover. What this means is the brushes (which are counter rotating) will make sure every fiber in your carpet is cleaned a full 360 degrees. This not only gets all the ground in dirt out, it also fluffs the fibers so your carpet is left looking like new.
Plus, the manufacturer has kindly included 3 settings: Spill pick-up, gentle- and power scrub, so no matter how dirty your carpet is there is a setting that will work for you.
Innovative Cleaning
Many other models of carpet cleaner leave it up to you to work out how much detergent you should use, but not so with this one. Simply fill the reservoir with detergent and some hot water from the tap and this carpet cleaner will decide how much you need to use. You also have two separate tanks, one for dirty water and one for clean.
Drying time is something else I find puts people off giving their carpets a deep clean, but this model will help there too. If you run the cleaner back over your carpet without rinsing, it will send hot air to your carpet so drying time is drastically cut down.
You also get no wastage with the amount of detergent you use. Because it has a separate compartment, anything that’s left over can simply be returned back to the bottle for the next time. Another handy feature is the Dual V nozzle which will ensure you get an even clean across the whole carpet.
Soft Furnishings and Stairs
Included with this cleaner is an 8 foot hose, removable caddy so storage is a breeze and a really useful handheld tool for your stairs and upholstery. In fact the time this unit saves on cleaning your carpets, you’ll easily have enough time to go over your chairs, cushions sofas and anything-else that can get dirt trapped in the fibers.
In Conclusion
The MaxExtract Dual V is well designed and pleasant on the eye. Best of all, it’s effective! You’ll be amazed at the difference this carpet cleaner will make.
